Works with Human Resources to ensure consistent application of sanctions for privacy violations

When dealing with employees CPO must communicate to HR department to make sure that the organization’s privacy policy is in compliance with applicable laws.

Internal investigations are used when employees are alleged to be violating company rules with the aim of uncovering the truth about alleged misconduct within the organization. The HR or Internal Investigations unit maintains policies and procedures, including:

  • The collection and protection of collected evidence;
  • Interviews with suspects and witnesses; and
  • Computer and network forensics

CPO works with Human Resources to ensure consistent application of sanctions for privacy violations.
